The development of New Qualifications in Scotland continues to create significant challenges for teachers and school leaders.

The NASUWT has expressed its profound disappointment at the failure of the Scottish Government to agree effective solutions to address the immediate problem of excessive teacher workload associated with the new qualifications.

The NASUWT continues to engage directly with the Scottish Government and other national bodies to address members’ legitimate concerns and to ensure that teachers and school leaders can access the support to which they are entitled.

However, to ensure that you are protected from excessive and unnecessary workload burdens, the Union has put in place action short of strike action instructions that focus on the impact of qualifications reform on your working conditions.

The NASUWT is on hand to help you ensure that the instructions are implemented in your school.
