To assist you in planning the dates of your Local Association meetings in order that they fall at times that allow you to meet important deadlines contained in the Rules of the Union and Standing Orders of Conference governing elections and participation in Annual Conference, please see the table of Key Dates in the NASUWT year for 2016/17.
 

Distribution of Schedule of Dates to Members

The Model Rules for Local Associations and Federations require that within four weeks of the start of the academic year a schedule for that academic year should be distributed to all full members and the National Executive Members, including the dates for:
 

• at least three General Meetings;
• the Annual General meeting;
• the deadline for submission of nominations for Local Association Officer and Executive positions;
• the deadline for the submission of proposed amendments to the Local Association rules/constitution.
