The NASUWT has produced advice and information for teachers and school leaders on the Estyn inspection process. This includes information on the way in which inspection is undertaken, how evidence is used to form inspection judgements and how problems arising during inspection can be addressed.
If you have any concerns about the way in which an inspection has been undertaken or about the way in which the requirements of inspection are being interpreted in your school, it is important to seek advice and guidance from the NASUWT.
The NASUWT has an online reporting tool, Inspect the Inspectors, that you can use to share your experience of inspection. The Union used this information to inform its engagement with Estyn about the conduct of inspection.
All information shared through the tool is treated in the strictest confidence.
