A recent seminar for leadership members was held on the 15 June 2016 at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole hotel. 

This highly successful event was attended by almost 90 NASUWT leadership members, including those seeking a leadership role. 

Participants attending received up-to-date information on Government reforms and policies and engaged in professional development training on a variety of topics. 

The seminar addressed latest developments in Marking and Assessment, the role of the Regional School Commissioners and the implications of the Fair Funding review for schools.

Workshops included topics such as:
 
  • Philosophy in education;
  • Meeting the Fundamental British Values and Prevent duties;
  • Legal update;
  • Managing stress and workload;
  • Pension advice and financial management.
The next CPD seminar for school leaders will be held on Thursday 29 September at NASUWT headquarters, Hillscourt Education Centre, Rednal, Birmingham B45 8RS.
