This year's conference took place in London at Congress House on the 9-10 April and the NASUWT was represented by a full and enthusiastic delegation.
The theme of the conference was 'Reaching out to Young Workers'.
The 2016 NASUWT Conference Motion was entitled 'Is Britain Fairer for Young People?' based on a recent important report published by the European Human Rights Commission (EHRC).
This was moved by Sobhia Mahmood of NASUWT East Midlands, and seconded by Unite. It was a well received motion and it was unanimously carried by conference. Members also spoke in support of 'fair pay for young people' which was elected to go forward to Congress for debate and adoption by the TUC.
If you are interested in attending this important, national event in April 2017, please see your Local Association Secretary for details.
