The NASUWT met with St Barts in the Spring term 2016, at Bartholomew’s Academy on 29 February 2016, to continue our negotiations to work collaboratively in developing a new framework for negotiation and consultation. The new negotiating machinery will be called the St Barts Joint Negotiating and Consultation Committee (JNCC).

The trust informed us they will be expanding to 10 schools by September 2016, but are looking to expand to between 15 to 20 (maximum) schools ultimately and so retain the ‘family feel’

St Barts have confirmed they will retain the status quo, where all existing policies that were negotiated with Stoke and Cheshire East will continue to be used where appropriate. In addition, St Barts will continue to support facility time arrangements by paying into local authority pots while retaining human resources support from Stoke. St Barts adheres to the Stoke Trade Union Recognition Agreement (TURA).

The next meet will be on 29 April 2016 at Belgrave Academy where the agenda will cover the TURA; Pay; Appraisal; Capability and Disciplinary policies.

Teachers' Cost of Living Pay Award 2015-16

St Barts has agreed to pay 1% uplift to all St Barts teachers across all points on all scales in addition to 2% for M6.
